The International Symposium on Chromaffin Cell Biology (ISCCB) gathers a group of about 150 scientists worldwide, who meet every 2 years, to discuss the recent progresses in our knowledge on biogenesis and motion of secretory vesicles, synthesis, storage and release of secreted products (catecholamines, chromogranins, ATP), as well as on mechanisms involving the excitation-secretion coupling, membrane ion channels, intracellular calcium homeostasis and exocytosis. The development of new technologies that allow an accuracy measurement of catecholamines, vesicle motion, exocytosis, etc. are also analyzed. The next ISCCB will be held 7-12 January 2006 at Pucón, a beautiful southern town of Chile.
