ALIFE VI will bring together people interested in constructing life-like systems and exploring the boundaries of life/non-life.
The conference will include material of interest to biologists, computer scientists, physicists, chemists, geneticists, and more, all hoping to learn from one another about questions of mutual interest. Some of the subjects spotlighted in previous conferences (such as neural networks, genetic algorithms, and agents) have now grown in stature so that entire meetings are devoted to them. The emphasis of ALIFE VI will be on some of the new developments in this area -- the boundaries are changing. Keynote speakers include Leonard Adleman, Gerald Joyce and Christos Papadimitriou.
ALIFE VI will be held in June of 1998 on the campus of the University of California, Los Angeles, at the Sunset Village conference center.
The lowest registration rates for the conference are offered to those who register before May 8th, 1998 - so register soon!
